Our rich history and broad base of projects has enabled our firm to build a depth of experience and knowledge in a vast array of project types, materials, and landscape construction methodologies that are particular to various regions and climates found across Western Canada. Our team of professionals encompass a wide base of skills and education, including: business administration; landscape architecture; and a wealth of construction experience including extensive project management of complex civil, parks, and development projects. Project management skills and corporate capability built up through time enable our firm to undertake large complex projects that go beyond the traditional areas of landscape construction.
Our project management process involves client, consultant and contractor. It plays an important role in Wilco's continued commitment to excellence and cooperation with all team members. Our Senior Management team has been a vital part of Wilco's success since 1991, all dedicated to the successful completion of our clients projects. We have established a firm that we believe provides the quality, diversity, capability, and integrity demanded by our clients. We are committed to and have developed many long term relationships with developers, government agencies, consultants and general contractors. Wilco has a proven team, proven results, and a wealth of construction experience, all ready to work for you.
As diverse as its projects are, so, too, are the communities in which Wilco has established itself. Since its humble beginnings in 1952 in Thunder Bay, Ontario (known then as Wills Nursery), Wilco has evolved as an experienced, proven and innovative leader in civil and landscape construction.
Wilco Civil Inc. started in B.C. in 1991 and at an early point took on challenging projects that are now typical of Wilco's portfolio. Early projects included lawn bowling greens for the Commonwealth Games which later lead to the current focus on sport facility construction.
Over the decades, Wilco has progressed from primarily soft landscape and environmental work to the present where large complex civil and landscape projects are undertaken. The nature of the work has gone from a subtrade role to a role where Wilco operates as a prime contractor building or managing several divisions of work.
Over the years, Wilco remains unchanged in its commitment to quality, service and a team approach in the implementation of site development projects of any size and complexity. This emphasis has led to the success and growth of Wilco Landscape Westcoast Inc, firmly establishing the company in Western Canada. As part of the Wilco group from Vancouver to Thunder Bay, we have become known as national leaders in the combined fields of civil and landscape construction.
