Southeast False Creek

South East False Creek Waterfront project is located in the heart of Vancouver's city.

The Waterfront Park project in South East False Creek is the latest major addition to the extended Seawall walkway along the Vancouver Waterfront.  This addition is a highly developed open space with a wide range of landscape features.  The development of South East False Creek Waterfront was built on the foundation of a shipyard, taking that into effect, the city designed certain aspects of this project around that idea.  You can see these aspects highlighted throughout the site.  The centre of the site has a steel pedestrian bridge over 40 meters in length, and sits beside a granite terraces which extends down to below low tide, for all to enjoy.  The walkway is built on a structural soil cell system that allows trees to develop with out being hindered by compacted soils.  At the west end of this project, a weir bridge controls storm flows from the adjacent village prior to being released into False Creek, limiting pollution into the water.

The development for the City of Vancouver was built for $13 Million.
