This project includes the construction of two lit (FIFA 2 star) artificial turf fields, one artificial turf practice field and a natural turf rugby field, complete with all related pedestrian, spectator and sport use amenities. A network of asphalt pathways, concrete entry plazas and pedestrian lighting allows for access from the existing parking areas and campus connections. This design provides a site for premier varsity, intramural and community athletic events nestled within a park like setting. This project includes storm water collection from the artificial field surfaces utilizing a 60,000 gallon underground cistern that allows storm water be used for irrigation of the natural turf areas.
